At Avalon Healthcare, Inc., we offer medical house call services that can help you or your loved one live a more sustainable and healthy life. These services include:

Additional Medical House Call Services

  • Routine Physical Exams (Pre-employment, Return to work, Sport/Camp/Student, Annual, Nursing Home/Assisted Living Placement)
  • Senior Wellness Checks: $100 per single visit , three visits weekly (M-W-F)
  • Home Laboratory Draws
  • Comprehensive evaluation that Includes lab work (viral testing, blood draws, urinalysis, etc.), radiology (x-rays, ultrasounds, EKGs), and any necessary prescriptions
  • Front Door Strep, Flu, RSV, Rapid & PCR COVID-19, Antibody Testing
  • COVID Rapid Antigen: $100 out of pocket per test, 10 minutes
  • COVID-19 Quantitative Antibody Testing (blood draw): $150 out of pocket per patient, next day
  • Initial Consultation/Establishment of Home Primary Care with our Practitioner
  • X-Rays, Ultrasounds, EKGs, Echocardiograms
  • Referrals to other specialists (Physical Therapy, Home Nursing, Gastroenterology, Cardiology, Oncology, Orthopedics etc.)
  • Pre-surgical Testing & Clearance (EKG, lab work, CXR, exam and clearance)

A : Avalon has been in business since early 2022 however both owners have been known in the southern Maryland community for more than 15+ years actively partnering with other medical professionals.
A : Advanced Nursing and Home Support is very selective in who we hire. Only 4 out of 10 applicants make it to an interview, and every care provider is certified in CPR and First Aid. Plus, we have a rigorous system of background checks, including checks against driving records, the Federal Criminal Database, and the National Sex Offender registry. And if the status of any care provider changes, we are notified immediately.
A : Yes! Every client receives an individual care plan from our Nursing staff, in consultation with the client’s physician, as needed. Every plan is executed carefully with the utmost detail.
A : We match every client with a compatible care provider. If that care provider becomes unavailable, we have backup systems in place to ensure that the client’s care continues and that their needs are always met.
A : We believe in being proactive in our partnerships with our clients and due to this, we regularly monitor the care providers’ performance. We also monitor the client’s satisfaction on a regular basis.
A : We’re a 24/7 business. When you call us at any hour, on any day, you won’t be put on someone’s voicemail. Our friendly and helpful answering staff will immediately direct your call to the supervisor on duty. We also have a clinical Registered Nurse available for urgent issues at all times.
A : Yes, yes, and yes! We’re happy to share references and referrals with you.
A : We require all Care Providers to continue education throughout the year and we offer trainings, webinars, and hands-on seminars on a monthly basis.
A : We have employed very strict COVID-19 safety practices, including limited client assignments. Every provider wears PPE when on shift and providing client care and In our out patient clinic. Temperatures are taken and a disinfecting wipe down is conducted at the start of each shift. It is our policy to review COVID test results for all clients recently discharged from a hospital or rehab setting. We also offer virtual assessments for family meetings and client intake.
